Unit 3: Art Snob - Possible Design

Trying to work out the possible look for one of my characters, he still needs some work, either more stylised or changing some of the facial structure. Body to follow.

Life Drawing 15/01/13

Life drawing, first task was 6 2/5 minute poses to sketch

Followed by the portrayal of emotion through drawing. This week was: Stern

Unit 3: Character Ideas - Undertaker

Since my script came together a bit more, I had a vague idea of the sort of style and design I wanted for my Undertaker. So I decided to experiment a bit with him and try and figure out his posture and clothing.
Clothing depended on the setting, and I wasn't too sure what an Undertaker (Or, Funeral Director as they are now called, Undertaker is rude apparently...) so I started just by making him creepy looking, then I thought more into it and thought that they would most likely be wearing more doctors type of clothing as in scrubs or protective material since they handle the bodies.

Unit 3: 30 Second 'Like-For-Like'

We have been asked to chose a 30 second segment of a film and storyboard the varying camera angles that happen during the segment and to show the camera movements.
I chose a segment from How To Train Your Dragon, about an 1 hour into the film is a figh sequence between toothless and Hiccup's father. Unfortunately I couldn't find the accompanying clip.

Have this instead:

And a random speed paint of Toothless, he's too cute!

Unit 3: First Idea (Very Rough)

It's late, I was about to sleep when Jake showed me something that sparked an idea, it may not be one I use, but it's the one that I could actually write about to some extent. All that matters, is that there could be something in there I can use.

This project has started!

Unit 3: Research

So, considering my very generalised initial research, I've decided to try and research into separate aspects of my 3 words to see if the break down of it can help me with any story ideas. After looking into bowling balls and realising that, in fact, they are literally just bowling balls with no hidden symbolism or interpretation in dreams, I went on to focus on the art gallery and decided to look into what the meaning of art work or paintings can be portrayed as.
I found an interpretation of paintings in dreams and what they are supposed to stand for, so I thought i'd document it in case it lent itself to some future idea.

Painting in a Dream | What does it mean when I dream about painting?

To dream of painting means creativity and your need for self-expression. The painting is symbolic of your intuition and inner realizations. To dream that you are painting a picture means that you need to express your creative side more. To dream you are painting a wall means a change in your surroundings, your life, a situation, your outlook etc. To dream that you are painting a house means that you will find much success in a new project and that you will be promoted to a coveted position. You may be expressing your creativity. To dream of a painting of a man high up on the wall means your ideal man. To dream of painting over something means a disguise, a cover up or a facade. To dream of a artistic painting means self-expression, look for symbology or messages within the picture.
